Quotes:Now, mark this: by this shall you know whether you are a child of God, or not; by the respect that you have to your Father’s Word. If you have small respect for that Word, the evidences of a bastard are upon you. Charles Spurgeon
Home means many things to many people. Those transplanted by career or choice find home a reminiscent place of heart. To many, a Christian home represents the very environment we are impacting the next generation … now. And, again to the Christian, “home” represents the hope for a future place of glory.
Our Church Home has become a place to assist in all of these and so much more. Come be a part of what makes America great, the liberty we all enjoy to worship God, making our sanctuary and worship a spiritual home for your family..
We believe much as our Founding Fathers that it is the duty and responsibility of men of faith to participate in and make better the community in which we live and worship. The foundation of principle and philosophy is the essence of thought in the hearts and minds of those Founding Fathers. Consider the words of George Washington and others here;
“It is impossible to govern the world without God and the Bible. Of all the dispositions and habits that lead to political prosperity, our religion and morality are the indispensable supporters. Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that our national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.”
“In the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior. The Declaration of Independence laid the cornerstone of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity.”
strong John Quincy Adams, An Oration Delivered Before the Inhabitants of the Town of Newburyport at Their Request on the Sixty-First Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1837 (Newburyport: Charles Whipple, 1837), pp. 5-6.
“Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company: I mean hell.”
John Adams, The Works of John Adams, Second President of the United States, Charles Francis Adams, editor (Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1856), Vol. X, p. 254, to Thomas Jefferson on April 19, 1817
“The great pillars of all government and of social life [are] virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor, my friend, and this alone, that renders us invincible.”
Patrick Henry, Patrick Henry: Life, Correspondence and Speeches, William Wirt Henry, editor (New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1891), Vol. II, p. 592, to Archibald Blair on January 8, 1799.
